Finally. A spiritual tool for the Black woman who is curious about what else is possible and needs a culturally grounded place to start.
THE BIBLE VERSES STOPPED HITTING LIKE THEY USED TO AND...
You wonder if there is more to spirituality.
You've picked up a tarot deck, tried a meditation app, browsed spiritual shops, and none of it felt like it was built for someone with your cultural background. What if ten minutes and ten honest questions could show you exactly where you're headed, and why?

Hi, I'm Dr. Shanice Jones Cameron.

WHY I BUILT THIS

I am a communication and media studies scholar whose research focuses on Black women's health, wellness, and spiritual life in digital spaces. My research kept surfacing the same thing: Black women are curious about religious frameworks with no idea what comes next. They are still spiritual, but they are landing somewhere with no map and nowhere culturally grounded to start. The wellness industry is not talking about this. Most of the spiritual content online is not built for people who are "in between". I built something that is.

And now, I want to give you access...

HERE'S THE PROBLEM...

Most spiritual spaces were not made for you.

You were raised Christian, but somewhere along the way it stopped feeling like what you actually believe. Every time you get curious about another path or anything outside what you were taught, you still worry about "going to hell". At family dinners or in the group chat, you feel weird because your faith doesn't seem to align with everyone else's like it used to. This leaves you feeling like you're doing something wrong and wondering if there's a different version of spirituality that you're allowed to explore.

This is for you if...

You keep asking yourself where you're going spiritually, but nothing you've tried has given you a real answer.

You're starting to question whether there's more to spirituality than what you were raised with, and you don't know what comes next.

You care about doing this right and learning which practices are open or closed instead of taking whatever sounds good without researching first.

You see spiritual content online that doesn't reflect your experience as a Black woman or leaves out context you'd need to actually use it.

You want to follow a religion or spiritual tradition that aligns with the woman you are today and the woman you are becoming.

If any of this feels familiar, you are not spiritually confused. You're in a transition nobody built a map for (until now).

The Spiritual Compass is a mirror. It helps you discern if you are intuitively being called toward your ancestral roots, back into your body, or toward a life built on ease and resistance.

THE SPIRITUAL COMPASS will:
Hear You First
Because it's built entirely from the language Black women use to describe their own spiritual transitions, so the questions actually sound like something you'd ask yourself.

Tell You Why
Because it shows you exactly which questions pointed you in each direction, so the result feels like recognition, not a random output.

Point You Home
Because the resources were curated exclusively from Black scholars, writers, and practitioners. In other words, these are resources from people who have actually lived what they're pointing you toward.

Stay With You
Because your result lives on your device. You can save it as a PDF, print it, and come back to it anytime, along with the full explanation and resource list for all three directions.
The Spiritual Compass does not tell you what to believe or hand you a tradition. It shows you where your intuition is already leading you along with the resources to help you get started.

The Spiritual Compass shows you where your intuition is already leading you and gives you a starting point for exploring that path.

AFTER YOU FINISH THE SPIRITUAL COMPASS...

You will have a clear next step to follow and spiritual path to explore.

You finish the assessment, and you get a direction and an actual starting point with specific traditions and practices that align with your results (instead of a vague nudge to "explore more").

No more ordering random books or opening seventeen tabs and closing them all trying to figure out what's next in your spiritual journey. No more walking into a spiritual space and hoping it resonates with you as a Black woman.

When your mother asks if you still go to church, or your friend asks what you believe now, you will have a real answer, one the app helped you uncover rather than one you're performing or apologizing for.

You get excited because there is a whole body of knowledge about your spiritual path, and you finally know where to find it. This app gives you a real place to start digging, a clearer sense of who you're becoming, and a direction that is finally yours.

That is what ten minutes and ten honest questions can do.

INTRODUCING

The Spiritual Compass

The Spiritual Compass is an intuitive mini app that helps you find your spiritual path. You answer ten multiple choice questions about where you are right now, and it points you toward one of three paths: Ancestral Reclamation, Back to Your Body, or Slow Living & Soft Life as Resistance. Each path leads you toward the same things spirituality is supposed to give you: peace, calm, support, and a real sense of direction. It takes about ten minutes and costs $7.

THE PART NO ONE EXPLAINS

How it Works and What You Get

The Spiritual Compass works by asking you questions that surface what is true for you, so the result reflects what you actually know rather than what you were taught to believe about religion and spirituality.

10 Instinct-Based Questions

These questions are designed to uncover what you already know, drawing from the language Black women use to describe their spiritual journeys.

A Ranked Personal Result

You'll receive a ranked result for each spiritual path, based on what came through most strongly in your answers, along with an explanation of why your answers pointed there.

Curated Resources

You'll receive a non-overwhelming list of resources by Black scholars, writers, and practitioners, so you can go deeper into your path. You can save it, print it, and come back to it anytime.

What Makes This Different

The Spiritual Compass isn't a personality quiz, and it isn't a checklist to work through. It's a research-grounded orientation tool that starts from where you actually are right now and shows you the path your own answers point toward. Then, it gives you specific resources to start with.

IS THIS FOR YOU?

How Black Women Use The

Spiritual Compass

To finally answer "I don't know where to start," the most common thing Black women say when they're ready to explore their spirituality and have nowhere culturally grounded to go.

To get grounded before walking into another spiritual space that may not have been built for them, so they know what they're looking for before they arrive.

To have language for what they already believe when family, friends, or their old church community asks them to explain themselves.

To find their next resource when they're struggling and need to know exactly where to turn for spiritual support that actually aligns with the current beliefs.

READY TO FIND YOUR SPIRITUAL DIRECTION?

The Spiritual Compass helps you figure out where your intuition is already leading you and points you toward resources from Black scholars, writers, and practitioners to get started.
